Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 salmon fillets (6 oz each)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ¼ tsp cayenne pepper (optional, for a little kick)
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • Fresh parsley (for garnish)
  • Lemon wedges (to serve)

Instructions

  1. Pat the salmon fillets dry with a paper towel to remove any excess moisture for crispier skin.
  2. In a bowl, combine olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, black pepper, onion powder, and cayenne pepper if using.
  3. Rub the seasoning mixture all over the salmon fillets.
  4. Drizzle the salmon fillets with lemon juice.
  5. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 3 minutes.
  6. Place the salmon fillets skin-side down in the air fryer basket, leaving space between them for air circulation.
  7. Cook the salmon for 8-10 minutes depending on thickness until it flakes easily with a fork and is cooked through.
  8. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve with lemon wedges alongside chosen sides.

Notes

For best flavor, marinate salmon for 15-30 minutes before cooking, then pat dry to avoid steaming., Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket to ensure even cooking and crispiness., Cooking skin-side down helps prevent sticking and retains moisture., If adding a sweet glaze like honey or teriyaki sauce, apply during the last 1-2 minutes of cooking to prevent burning., Store cooked salmon in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days., Reheat in the air fryer at 350°F (175°C) for 2-3 minutes to restore crispness., Salmon can be cooked from frozen by adding 3-5 extra minutes to cooking time.
